From the 1st of January 2018 all New Zealand students who finished school in 2017, 2018 or 2019, qualify for a year of free provider based tertiary education.
Adults who have previously studied for less than half a year full-time of tertiary education or industry training also will qualify for fees free courses.

Please note: Even if you are eligible for fees-free training, you may still want to borrow course-related costs and living costs through a student loan. StudyLink's advice is to make your application as soon as possible.
